Symptom 

When updating billing documents in Profitability Analysis, you find the quantity is not updated forcertain items.

Reason and Prerequisites 

Cause:the item type for the item category is not a standard item.Preconditions:in Customizing for the sales and distribution documents in module SD, an item type has been definedwhich is not blank for the item category used in the affected billing item, that is, it does notconcern a 'standard item'.

Solution 

Quantities from billing are only relevant for standard items, but not for value or text items forinstance. Therefore, only quantities from billing items with item type 'standard item' are updatedin Profitability Analysis.
