Open Tutoring Schedule: Monday: Math Tuesday: Reading Wednesday: Social Studies Thursday: Science

Math: Mrs. Humphreys Students will complete Daily Math Practice Week 7 and:  • Solve problems involving division with remainders;  • Measure angles and learn the sum of the angles for

triangles and rectangles;  • Recognize equilateral, isosceles, and scalene

triangles;  • Determine equivalent fractions;  • Calculate conversions within a measurement

system;  • Learn the commutative property of addition and

multiplication.  • Test 6    

Science: Mrs. Cash We will begin our new unit energy on Monday.

Students will get their vocabulary for this unit on Monday and we will have a vocabulary quiz on

Wednesday, October 14th. We will have two hands on labs and a lab reflection that will go home on

Wednesday and be due the following day.

Language Arts & Reading: Mrs. Burton

Next week, on Tuesday, we will have quiz over the story in the reading book, Elisa’s Diary. This quiz

also focuses on the reading skill of identifying Theme as well as the key vocabulary. The students have

notes on identifying Theme located in their Reading binder.

Social Studies & Spelling: Mrs. Jones This next week will be a short one! The students will have their next spelling quiz on

October 8. In social studies they will study the colony of Plymouth and answer the question: What makes a colony successful?

A fully charged iPad and a pair of headphones are required everyday.
