How to find the Discount & Discounted Price
1. Find out the % of the discount. Convert the % to a decimal.
2. Multiply the decimal by the original price.
3. Take the answer in step 2 and subtract it from the original price.
Example1) Discount 20% = .20
2) $10 x .20 = $2.00
3) $10.00 - $2.00 = $8.00

Calculating Discount
Step One- Convert the percent to a decimal.
30% = .3
Figure out your price of a CD, if the original price is $15.50 with a discount of 30%.
Step Two – Multiply the price and the decimal.
$15.50 x .3 = $4.65Step Three- Subtract the discount from the original price.
$15.50 - $4.65= $10.85
