“Wolfblood Uncovered” uses the drama se-

ries to springboard into natural history

archives that show how wolves live – from

hunting their prey using their speed,

stamina, strength, agility, intelligence

and super senses (hearing, eyesight and

smell) to living as a pack, bringing up

their pups and protecting their territory

from others.

The series also looks at how wolves

communicate with one another and details

their complex relationship with man. In

one episode Bobby meets a number of wolves

at a wolf sanctuary.

“Wolfblood Uncovered” is a spin-off show from the

children’s drama “Wolfblood”. The series is pre-

sented by Bobby Lockwood who plays one of the main

characters, Rhydian, in the drama.

Rhydian has had a difficult life.

Abandoned under mysterious circum-

stances at the age of two, he‘s been

shuttled from foster home to foster

home ever since.

It didn‘t take long for him to be

labeled “challenging” for telling

‚lies‘. What social services don‘t

get is that Rhydian‘s perfectly

normal – for a Wolfblood. He‘s acting

up because he‘s fed up with people

calling him a liar, and because he‘s

scared of his abilities, which only

increase as he matures.

Then he discovers Maddy,

the first person he‘s

ever met who was like

him. She is his first

connection to the new

wand fascinating world

of Wolfbloods.

However, the Wolfblood

world comes with rules

and secrets – keep

hidden, keep quiet,

blend in – and that‘s

the last thing Rhydi-

an wants to do. He won‘t

stop using his abilities

for anyone...

EPISODE ONE – SUPERSENSES

In ‘Supersenses’ Bobby discovers how wolves explore the environment

around them using their amazing sense of smell, fantastic eyesight

and incredible hearing – senses which, when combined, mean they

perceive the world in a completely different way to people.

EPISODE TWO – SPEED aND STamINa

In this episode Bobby looks at speed and stamina and how wolves are

built so they can keep running for miles and miles without getting

tired. He also discovers how quick they can be over short distances,

and how they can use both of these abilities to hunt and catch their

prey.

EPISODE THREE – INTELLIgENCE

In ‘Intelligence’ Bobby explores wolf brain-power and

discovers how they are able to remember where their prey

can be found and avoid being captured by man.

EPISODE FIVE – TERRITORy

In ‘Territory’ Bobby finds out about a wolf’s home – the land

where it lives, hunts for its food and raises its family. It’s an

area it will defend in any way it can, from the simple marking of

trails and boundaries, to snarling and growling and in extreme

cases, ending up in a fight.

EPISODE FOUR – STRENgTH aND agILITy

In this episode, Bobby takes a

look at how wolves have super

strength and remarkable agility

which makes them incredibly ad-

aptable predators, plus he looks

at how, in the Wolfblood drama,

the young wolfbloods use the same

abilities to help them in their

teenage lives.

EPISODE SIx – HUNTINg

In this episode, Bobby finds out about the surprising diversity of

a wolf’s diet – from large animals such as buffalo to small arctic

hares and even fish, plants and berries – and discovers the huge

range of skills they use to hunt and capture their prey.

EPISODE SEVEN – PaCk LIFE

In this episode Bobby looks at the wolf pack, the tight knit family

unit where most wolves spend their lives, grow up from a pup into

an adult and learn all they need to know from the more experienced

wolves. He also discovers that this wolf pack is the key to their

survival.

EPISODE NINE – PEOPLE aND WOLVES

In this episode Bobby explores why wolves have featured so heavily in

our myths and folklore and finds out how our attitude towards them has

influenced their survival.

EPISODE EIgHT – COmmUNICaTION

In ‘Communication’ Bobby looks at the impressive abilities of a

wolf’s howl, finding out why they do this and how they develop

this skill. He also reveals how wolves communicate with each

other using body language.

Maddy Smith is an almost normal teen living with her

parents in a small rural town. The “almost” is because

she’s a Wolfblood!

Neither completely wolves nor humans, Wolfbloods have

great powers – super speed, strength and senses – and can

change from one form to another. Just as Maddy’s getting

ready for her first transformation, a new boy, Rhydian,

starts at her school – and they both instinctively know

their true nature. Rhydian helps Maddy master her first

challenge, but after that, she’s got to learn to control

her powers on her own. Rhydian, meanwhile has to cope with

his mother, a “wild” Wolfblood who wants her son to roam

free as a wolf. For both Maddy and Rhydian, the main

question is “As we grow up, how do we know who we should

be?” – a question only they can answer in this thrilling

CBBC/ZDF/ZDF Enterprises coproduction.
