10-Step Checklist When Selecting a Cloud-Based Field Service Software Partner If you’re considering a new mobile field service solution for your business, no doubt you will have come across the concept of ‘the cloud’. So, if you’re considering cloud field service software, here is our 10-point checklist to help ensure you make the right decision for your business:

Effective partnership – Find out what your cloud-based partner requires of you to effectively work together. Does it meet your expectations?

Every scenario accounted for – Ask about their business continuity and disaster recovery process and ensure it covers all the possible scenarios that could affect your business.

Resources meet demand – Ensure the cloud resources available at any given time will meet your current needs - as well as potential future needs.

Service Level Agreement – Closely examine the Service Level Agreement (SLA).

Check the credentials – Ask for business cases and where possible, speak directly with existing customers with similar needs to your own.

Flexibility – Establish if the supplier offers any contractual flexibility.

Security – Check that your supplier is PCI Data Security Standard certified.

Configurable – If embarking on a SaaS option, identify if you can configure it to meet your specific needs?

Integration – If the SaaS option needs to integrate with existing software, find out how the supplier will ensure a smooth integration process.

Performance measures – Ask how the supplier will ensure they continually meet your business needs. What performance measures will they put in place and how will these be communicated?
