1. Knowing the venue

3. Arriving early
Allow extra time for traffic
You’ll need more time to set up than you think

4. Expecting technical glitches
You may experience I.T. & audio visual faults
Rehearse how to adapt
Have an alternative method of delivery e.g. a flipchart…

5. Taking spare equipment
Take your own laptop, projector, speakers and remote control
Don’t forget the power leads
Extra flip chart paper & pens are a good idea…

6. Starting on time
Begin when you should
There’ll always be latecomers

Balance being flexible with full delivery
A few delegates will take you off on tangents
Others won’t appreciate you leaving out content…
