JobPro – MYOB Interface

JobPro - MYOB InterfaceA feature of JobPro is the ability to interface to a range of accounting systems and third party applications. One of these accounting systems is MYOB. JobPro synchronizes the MYOB customer Card file with the JobPro Customer table. JobPro also writes an entry in the MYOB Sales Register for each invoice generated in JobPro.

The benefit to the user is that there is one point of entry for setting up new customers – JobPro - with all invoices generated in JobPro having the correct customer details when they arrive in the MYOB Sales Register

JobPro currently has two interface points to the MYOB accounting package. This interface makes use of the MYOB ODBC driver set. These interface points are as follows

1. Customer Masterfile Synchronisation—maintain

the customer details in the JobPro and the information is transferred to the MYOB Card file

2. Invoices generated in JobPro can be transferred

to MYOB with the push of a button. The following diagrams demonstrated how this transfer occurs



Accessing the MYOB InterfaceThe MYOB Interface is accessed from the Invoicing menu. This has two tabs; The first is to synchronise Customer data ; the user has the option to synchronize ALL customers, or just those who have been changed in JobPro

Invoice # 6161 for $30 plus gst is generated and printed in JobPro.

This invoice is then exported to MYOB via the ‘Send Invoices to MYOB ’ button

The end result is that Invoice #6161 (now 00006161) is now a registered sale in MYOB with the correct date, customer information and amounts

The Sales Register shows both open invoices and credits, all sourced from JobPro

Invoice # 6136 appears in MYOB as a one line Miscellaneous Sales invoice. It has the correct Acct#, GST components, date and customer details.

Note that this invoice is a summarised version of the full invoice as seen in the next slide

Invoice # 6136 is a multiline container tracking invoice. It could be a multi page invoice – it will still only generate an MYOB invoice with one line per MYOB account code .
