� All original certificates and mark sheets are to be produced at the time ofwritten examination.

� Results of the Written test will be announced on the same day.� Those who qualify Written test will undergo PFT and Recruitment Medical

Examination (Preliminary), which may take 1-2 days.� Candidates declared Medically Temporary Unfit in the recruitment medical

examination can avail specialist review from the specified Military Hospitalwithin a maximum period of 21 days. No further review/appeal is permissible.

� Candidates declared Medically Permanent Unfit in the recruitment medicalscan appeal for specialist opinion in a Military Hospital within 21 days onpayment of Rs. 40/- by Military Receivable Order (MRO) on GovernmentTreasury. (Medical fitness certificate other than that of the specialistopinion in the designated Military Hospital will not be considered). Nofurther review/appeal is permissible.

� The select list will be prepared from the candidates who qualify in all respectsdepending upon the available vacancies. The centre wise select list of can-didates (depending upon the numbers to be inducted) will be displayed atthe respective Recruitment Centres on 19 Jun 2009. All candidates whosenames appear in the Select list and have been declared medically fit in theRecruitment Medical would be required to report to INS Chilika. However,enrolment will be subject to Enrolment Medical fitness at INS Chilka.

� The candidature of candidates selected is valid for the current batch only.� Call letter for Final Medical examination will be forwarded only to medically

qualified candidates in the select list. Unsuccessful candidates will not beintimated separately.

� All select listed candidates will also be forwarded Police Verification formalongwith the Call letter for final medical examination and the candidates willbe required to submit the same to INS Chilka after getting their antecedentsverified on this form from the concerned district police authorities. Candi-dates without the verified police verification reports will not be eligible forenrolment. The format for the police verification form can also be downloadedfrom the internet site www.nausena-bharti.nic.in immediately after the decla-ration of select list, to ensure timely verification.

� No enquiry will be entertained regarding recruitment/ enrolment after a periodof six months.

Only one application form is to be forwarded.Candidates who send more than one application for the same entrywill be disqualified. Date of Written Examination: 22/02/2009(VII) Probation:Selected candidates, if certified flit medically, may be appointed as Administrative Officers (Scale- I) on probation for aperiod of one year which may be extended by a further period upto six months. 2. DEFINITIONSA] Ex-Servicemen [XSM]:i) Only those candidates shall be treated as Ex-Servicemen who fulfill the revised definition as laid down in

Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Personnel and Administrative ReformsNotification No.36034/5/85/Estt.(SCT) dated 27.10.1986 as amended from time to time.

l Visually Challenged [VC]:(i) Blindness refers to a condition where a person suffers from any of the following conditions namely (a) Total

absence of sight or (b) Visual acuity not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 {snellen} in the better eye with correctinglenses; or (c) limitation of the field of vision subtending an angle of 20 degree or worse.

(ii) Low Vision means a person with impairment of visual functioning even after treatment or standard refractivecorrection but who uses or is potentially capable of using vision for the planning or execution of a task withappropriate assistive device.

l Hearing Impairment [HI] means loss of 60 decibels or more in the better ear in the conversational range offrequencies.

l Orthopaedically Challenged [OC] - All the cases of OC persons are covered under the category of Locomotordisability or cerebral palsy.Locomotor Disability means disability of the bones, joints or muscles leading to substantial restriction of themovement of the limbs or any forms of cerebral palsy.Cerebral Palsy means a group of non-progressive conditions of a person characterized by abnormal motorcontrol posture resulting from brain insult or injuries occurring in the pre-natal, peri-natal or infant period ofdevelopment.Only such persons would be eligible for reservation in services / posts who suffer from not less than 40% ofrelevant disability.

3. NATIONALITY / CITIZENSHIP:A candidate must be either i] a citizen of India or ii] a subject of Nepal or iii] a subject of Bhutan or iv] a Tibetanrefugee who came over to India before 01.01.1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or v] aperson of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya,Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania. 2. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR OPEN MARKET MALE & FEMALE CANDIDATESa) Age (For male & female): (1) Not less than 18 years and not more that 23 years as on 1st August2009 (relaxable upto 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates).(2) Upper age upto 05 years is also relaxable for those persons who had ordinarily been domiciled inthe State of J & K during the period from 1st Jan 1980 to 31st Dec 1989. The person claiming relaxationunder this category should produce a certificate to the effect that they had been domiciled in the stateof J&K during the period from 1st January 1980 to 31st December 1989 from the District Magistratewithin whose jurisdiction they had ordinarily resided or from any other authority designated in thisbehalf by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir.(3) The upper age limit is also relaxable upto 35 years in the case of serving Followers of the CISFprovided they have rendered minimum three years continuous service in Force. Upper age limit isalso relaxable upto 40 years for SC/ST and 38 years for OBC candidates in such cases.(4) Upper Age limit upto 5 years is also relaxable further to the children and dependents of victimsKILLED in the 1984 riots and communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat. SC/ST/OBC relaxation will be inaddition as per Government instructions.Children means(a) son (including adopted son) or(b) daughter (including adopted daughter)Dependent family member means(a) spouse or(b) children or(c) brother or sister in the case of unmarried victim who was wholly dependent on that victim at thetime of his getting killed in the riots would be eligible.In order to be eligible for upper age relaxation in this category, the applicant should produce a certificateto that effect from the concerned District Collector/District Magistrate wherein the victim was killed.b) Educational qualification (a) (i) For Const/GD : Matriculation or 10th class pass. (ii) For Const/Fire: Matriculation or 10th class pass with science subject.(b) Educational certificates other than State Board/ Central Board should be accompanied with Govt.of India notification declaring that such qualification is equivalent to Matric/10th class pass for serviceunder Central Govt.

Interview (a) Interview(15 marks) Candidates numbering approximately three times of vacanciesaccording to merit will be called for interview of 15 marks. No intimation to the eliminated candidateswill be given. However they may verify their result from the Notice board at the Recruitment venue.(b) Special Qualifications(10 marks) A maximum of 10 marks will be awarded to candidates havingcreditable achievements in sports, adventure sports, NCC, Scouts & Guides and other extra curricularactivities. Claims of achievements should be supported by documents and the participation shouldbe at least at State level.V. MEDICAL EXAMINATION: Detailed Medical examination: After preparation of merit list, thecandidates selected in order of merit (equal to the allotted number of vacancies) will be put through aDetailed Medical Examination to asses their fitness.APPEAL AGAINST THE FINDINGS OF MEDICAL EXAMINATION: In all cases a candidate, who hasbeen declared UNFIT for appointment in CISF in the Medical Examination, will be communicated thegrounds for rejection in broad terms by the Examining Medical Officer. The candidate, if not satisfiedwith the findings of the Medical Examination, can submit an appeal within one month (30 days) forReview Medical Examination alongwith a proof of his fitness in the prescribed form as per Appendix ��F�. The medical certificate will not be taken into consideration unless it contains a note by the medicalpractitioner concerned to the effect that it has been given in full knowledge of the fact that the candidate

has already been declared unfit for appointment by a Medical Officer and the opinion of the examiningmedical officer is an error of judgment. The appeal will also not be taken into consideration unless itcontains Review Medical Examination fee of Rs.25/- through Demand Draft. (The details of authorityto whom the appeal should be submitted and DDO concerned and payable branch etc., will be mentionedin the Rejection Slip itself to be issued by the Examining Medical Officer/Chairman of the RecruitmentBoard).4. Disqualification : No person(a) Who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having spouse living or(b) Who having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with another person Shall beeligible for appointment to the Force.Provided that the Central Government may, if satisfied that suchmarriage is permissible under the persona law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriageand there are other grounds for so to do, exempt any person from the operation of this rule.5. 9. The candidates applying for these posts will have to go through Physical Efficiency Tests. Thecandidate should come well prepared for the prescribed events and participate at their own risk.
