Left Side: What is a predicate noun?
Right Side: A predicate noun is a single noun or noun phrase that renames the subject. Most often it follows the verb “to be.”
Predicate nouns may also follow these verbs: smell, taste, feel, remain, continue, appear.
Example:
The Chief of Surgery was Dr. Hurt.
She used to be the most talented girl on the volleyball team.
