What factors contribute to changes in the world of work?Global economy - The world of work is not limited to businesses in the US, but businesses through the world. The US has seen many job losses and changes as US jobs move to other countries.

Technology – The internet, handheld computers and cell phones have all changed the world of work. The help people get information and do their work more quickly than before. It has led to E-commerce, changed the way companies do business and become a big part of the global economy.

Society – Changes led by peoples’ beliefs are social changes. One of the biggest social changes impacting the world of work has been gender equality, which is equal employment opportunity for all, regardless of gender. There has been great improvement in the US, but not all over the world.

Workplace trends – Changes in where people work are workplace trends. The world of work has changed due to the workplace trend of allowing more employees to work from home. This was not allowed in the past. Technology changes have also made this possible.
