Shanghai Stadium

The Shanghai Sports Centre features an 80,000-seat stadium for track-and-field events, soccer matches, and cultural and sports extravaganzas. The 61,700-square-meter building incorporates a 3-star 280-room hotel, an underground recreational athletics center, and parking for 1,600 cars. It is notable for being China's first long span fabric roof and the world's longest cantilevered steel truss roof. The project was a successful joint effort of Chinese and American engineers and contractors.

Luwan Gymnasium

Located in the south of the heart of the central city, this gymnasium has complete equipment, including two color screens, acoustic control and central air conditioning units, cable TV system and public address system.

Shanghai International Gymnastics Center

It has 2600 fixed seats and 1730 movable seats. This center is equipped with two dual primary-color screens for transmitting competition information. It has a basement garage, a practice hall linking the main field of play. The architectural appearance takes the shape of oblate spheroid. It surfaces adopts silver gray aluminum plates with blue ring window strips, forming the architectural style of “jade plate supporting a bright pearl”.
