Sun heats the earth and water evaporates into water vapor.

The hot, moist air rises and cools.

The air cools until it is satuared (cool air can't hold as much water vapor as warm air).

Clouds form when the water vapor condenses (100% relative humidity).

If the water droplets cling together and get heavy enough, it rains!
