HIV AIDS in South Asia

Prevalence among adults between 15 and 49-year old: 0.9 percent in India, 0.5 percent in Nepal and less than 0.1 percent in other countries in the sub-region.

Higher prevalence in some geographical areas and in groups at risks: injected drug users, commercial sex workers and migrant workers, including transport workers.

Design strategies to strengthen M&E in HIV/AIDS components of projects;

Make recommendations on how to strengthen capacity for effective and integrated M&E systems on HIV/AIDS projects in the focus countries of South Asia Region.
