HIV AIDS in South Asia
Prevalence among adults between 15 and 49-year old: 0.9 percent in India, 0.5 percent in Nepal and less than 0.1 percent in other countries in the sub-region.
Higher prevalence in some geographical areas and in groups at risks: injected drug users, commercial sex workers and migrant workers, including transport workers.
