6. The Seven Deadly Sinscan be either venial or mortal sins; they are the sins because they lead to other sins.

Why is pride so sinful? There is nothing wrong with being happy that you have accomplished your goals, but you should be thankful that God gave you that ability. He is the one who enables us to excel in any activity. Why is pride so sinful? Pride is giving yourself the credit for something that God has accomplished. Pride is taking the glory that belongs to God alone and giving it to yourself. Pride is essentially self-worship. Anything we accomplish in this world would not have been possible were it not for God enabling and sustaining us. That is why we give God the glory...for He alone deserves it.

• organic life on our planet has changed over long periods of time and continues to change by a process known as ‘natural selection.’

7. What is the Evolution theory?

• Science explains the how, but not the why. Religion explains the why, but usually not the how.

• So if both of them were accepted together, you can get the how and the why. Such as in evolution. Science says that through mutations and natural selection, we got the species we see today. Religion says (at least Christianity) that God created this universe and everything in it so that we humans could enjoy the works of His hand and become stewards of what He has made.

How does the scientific creation and the Genesis creation complement each other?
