Yesterdays Memories

One more day of mountain sun surely there can’t be too many more. For winter is closing in storms from the ocean then the mighty wind will roar.

Checked the mailbox again today and there was only an advertisement or two.Had hoped that one day God might smile, and there would be a letter from you.

The air is still as I sit here on several acres of neatly kept lawn. Not many smiles left within me somewhere they have gone.

But God keeps me busy writing another book.Called Dust to Destiny, and many hours of study and prayer surely it took.

The trees stand bare, the leaves they have fallen “a few days ago” slowly to the ground. If I hadn’t have been watching closely never would have known for they made not a sound.

The World Series now in the past till warm sunshine comes another year.The fans in the stadium “those that I saw” seemed to enjoy didn’t see even a tear.

The old corrals need to be painted. You know that white. Fences around the ranch need some fixing and some repair. Then all would look new and bright.

The flag hasn’t been put in the sky for a day or two. In fact it’s been quite awhile.Old Glory has some rips battling with the wind the anguish of trial.

Tinkerbell the kitty cat walks along with Blondie and me down that old mountain country road. Ditches have some tall grass in them didn’t seem to have the time to get them mowed.

Made that old yellow dog a place to sleep it is kind of fancy and put in under a juniper tree.In the mornings when it’s cold her nose sticks out, that is about all that I can see.

Still see that old crow over there on the ridge the one below the peak ever so high. It is long way from Los Angeles out here where the mountains touch the sky.

Traffic on the old highway has slowed to a trickle, till another year.The tourists have returned to the cities not many folks left way out here.

The shadows are lengthening for the sun is slowly setting out here in the west. Another day is ending soon to be history then all will be at rest.

Better walk back and return to study about Him up above.It states that He is faithful and can be trusted, when push comes to shove.

Not much more to say except take care and I wish you the best. The only advice that I can offer is lean on Yeshua ever so near just over the mountain crest.

So I’ll close by saying, take some time and walk along the deep blue sea.Look out across the ocean it was my home for many years out where the wind blows free.

Then, as his peril begins to fade away he has survived, battered, and torn, But with the TEN repairs must be made, even when weary, and worn.
