Folk Customs - Lazaruvane

This holiday is celebrated one week before Easter. Girls are adorned with wreaths of spring flowers, and they go round the houses with songs and wishes. In the evening they throw the wreaths somewhere in the river and predict the future.

-SurvakaneThe first of January in the early morning the boys go round the houses with decorated cornel sticks called "survakarki"  and bless the hosts.
