Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you to the members of our school community and staff who attended our ‘Meet and Greet BBQ’ last night, a big thank you to Kerry, Bill and Kath for assisting with the BBQ. It was a fantastic opportunity for your child to share with you their classroom and the things they have been learning about in class. Next year our ‘Meet and Greet’ BBQ will be held at the beginning of Term 1, 2020.
We warmly welcome members of the Goulburn Quota Club and the Goulburn Local Police who will be attending our school each Tuesday morning for the Cops for Kids Reading Program. Kitchen Garden Program
Last week in the kitchen we have been very busy preparing special treats for our mums and other people who love us. We hope that all those special people who care for us had a lovely day.
The Primary School students prepared love heart biscuits and the word “Mum” as part of our celebration week. They were buttery and each person was thrilled with the results. Many of the children were arranging where they could hide them !
This week we have gardened. We have tidied all the garden beds ready for the winter planting, have picked a big crop of butternut pumpkins and have then safely stored in the garden shed. We have placed them in a net off the floor with the air circulating around them. The dark of the shed should help keep them at their best.
Our garden needed a good tidy up. We now have a place for everything and everything in its place. If anyone has some old bricks that could be use for a garden edge could you please let us know.
It was great to see that most students can put their gardening gloves on independently. We have certainly developed some great skills since we started our program. Well done everyone.
For the classes not gardening this week, they will be making their first dip and biscuit for tasting. Greta’s class and Racheal's class will be alternating between dips and fritters, making and tasting lots of different vegetables and fruits.

PBL at The Crescent
The diagram shows how the PBL continuum applies to all students. PBL establishes strong school-wide universal systems that promote early intervention, and the teaching and acknowl-edging of social-emotional skills. PBL helps schools to develop consistent systems to discourage unproductive behaviour.
Tier 1 looks at the rules that form the school expectations. Tier 2 targeted support is a team driven process. It strengthens and builds upon what has been taught to students at the universal level. Some students, approximately 10-15 per cent, will respond to Tier 1 supports but will continue to exhibit some difficulties. These students may be need additional academic and/or social-emotional support. A smaller group of students, approximately 1-5 per cent, may need individualised and intensive Tier 3 supports as well as universal and targeted support. Schools will build upon the foundations of the school-wide system to support these students. Interventions focus on creating and implementing individualised behaviour support plans that are linked to the universal system. Next Week : Playground Lessons.

Mornings have been very productive in our class.
We always start the day with an engine room to turn
our bodies and our minds on, so we are ready for
learning.
The students really enjoy a range of activities that
develop many fundamental movement skills.
After engine room we then start literacy groups
which engages the students in a variety of learning
tasks all aimed at students individual needs.
