Big IdeasStudents can benefit from summer school instruction if: Allocated time is adequate.

Summer School - 4 to 6 weeks, 3 hours a day, 4 - 5 days a week

On-level small group instruction is provided.

Assessment is used to determine instructional groups.

Students are grouped based on current reading levels using one minute fluency measure and San Diego Quick.

Further grouping is based on program assessments.
