In Brazil we are audited and approved to perform APT’s for the following class societies:

ABS, Bureau Veritas, DNV-GL, Korean Register, Lloyds Register, NKK and RINA. Outside

Brazil, please let us know the country, and we will assist you with what we have best.

Transparency is essential for surveyors or inspectors of flag administration at port states

or other recognized organizations. There is a need to have a document that clearly lists

all the interfaces which have been checked to confirm compliance with the appropriate

International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) test standards.

As a result of our solution-seeking nature, we are able to support the mentioned

manufacturer’s products with a full range of consumable spare-parts, including batteries

and acoustic beacons. Whether we need to carry out APT’s in Brazil (regardless of where

it is), we are fully prepared for each task.

When it comes to VDR Certificate of Compliance (CoC), JRC Brasil controls all the

documents for APTs done in the whole of South America. This guarantees the same time

zone with our local representatives, reducing the time the vessel stays with the old

document, before receiving the new issuance.

On vessels, a gyrocompass is vital during operation, therefore JRC Brasil provides a

constant technical support from well-experienced and knowledgeable technicians.

We have gyrocompasses in our product line that are maintenance free, or that require

annual service. In both cases, our qualified technicians are available to perform service,

maintenance and technical support checks for your vessel. We also have a good working

relationship with other manufacturers. Our technicians are trained to handle various

gyrocompass equipment and can attend your vessel in short notice. In case our

technicians are not available, we will coordinate with a business partner to attend your

vessel, following our quality requirements.

As informed, we have gyrocompasses in our own company portfolio, such as the

In addition to preparing the service engineers to support the clients in all turn-key systems

referenced in item 4 above, we have also prepared an JRC ECDIS Type Specific Training

center that has been fully certified by the Japanese class society Nippon Kaiji Kyokai –

ClassNK.

The familiarization with the specific ECDIS system on board your vessel is an IMO, ISM

(International Safety Management) and SOLAS requirement. Ensuring that your crew is

fully aware of all the available features is the ideal way of avoiding accidents that have

been causing huge problems to various companies.
