1 Peter 3:7

Husbands, in the same way be considerate

as you live with your wives, and treat

them with respect as the weaker partner

and as heirs with you of the gracious gift

of life, so that nothing will hinder your

prayers.

In the same way you married men should live

considerately with [your wives], with an

intelligent recognition [of the marriage relation],

honoring the woman as [physically] the weaker,

but [realizing that you] are joint heirs of the

grace (God's unmerited favor) of life, in order that

your prayers may not be hindered and cut

off. [Otherwise you cannot pray effectively.]

Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with

them according to

knowledge, giving honour unto the

wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and

as being heirs together of the grace

of life; that your prayers be not

hindered
