I think that Cara is not sorry for bringing the snake into the library. I think this because she is being forced to write the letter and is blaming Mr. Winston. This shows me that she isn't sorry since she does not feel like it is her fault.
Cara's attitude is different for the first and third paragraphs. In the first paragraph, she was blaming Mr. Winston because he would not let her take the book out. In the third paragraph, she was being nice because she told him about a show that does not have snakes.
Cara bought the snake yesterday. I know this because bought the snake an hour before going into the library.
I would describe Cara's character as not very responsible. I know this because of her actions when she brought a snake into the library in a shoe box.
