principles and high moral values. He
is raised with strict religious Jainism
tradition and has been close to
Hinduism and Buddhist customs. In
his childhood he attended numerous
camps for moral & religious
educations and spiritual practices
organized by temples and religious
societies in India.
Since his childhood, Deepak has
been watching the positive effects of
religious practices on human lives
and noticed extreme friendliness of
nature towards religious souls. He
experienced the trueness embedded
in Vedas, Puranas, Mantras, Shlokas,
and other historic religious texts.
Highly captivated with the positive
effects of religious practices on his
life, Deepak started studying
Jain Puranas (ancient religious
texts), Ramayana, Mahabharata, and
many other religious texts including
some parts of Bible too. He started
practicing Yoga and meditation and
experienced the possessions of
additional energies, feelings, and
thoughts towards betterment of
humanity. He started utilizing his
superfluous energies for social
services and counselling purposes.
Gradually, Deepak turned into a
visionary developed with immense
working experience in spiritual
practices, religious considerations,
research, academics, and corporates
augmented with spiritual lights and a
confidence of being near to God,
more recognized as “Prof. Jain”.
Prof. Jain is a member of International
Association of Buddhist Universities
(IABU). He is author of several books
and research papers. Other than many
other prestigious titles, he has been
honored with “President’s Call of
Service Award” and Gates &
Custodian Person of Year 2013 award
in Academic Research category.
In his strict routine of prayers and
spiritual activities he emphasis on the
need to moral education, and spiritual
practices in studies and with these
thoughts, he envisioned a
non-secular educational institution
built on strong base of spirituality to
facilitate the coexistence of diversity of
beliefs of different religions directed
towards uniqueness of God and tagged
it as the “Amity College”.
Prof. Jain promotes religious and
spiritual education to support
spreading of moral values, ethical
means of existence, and better sense of
responsibilities in human beings.
He envisage Amity College as a unique
combination of classroom studies and
online learning infrastructure to serve
as a means of spreading light of
knowledge, power of spirituality, and
global peace.

spreading awareness about power of spirituality, global

Amity College Founder
President
Prof. Ken Rabac
Ken Rabac, the Founder President
of Amity College, was born into
Catholicism in Detroit by virtue of
his autoworker parents. His
Ukrainian mother and Adriatic
father raised him in in the Roman
and Greek Catholic traditions. Ken
in his youth was mentored by a
monsignor who recognized a
religious vocation and deemed him a
candidate for priesthood.
Ken encountered an agnostic priest in
eighth grade who opened his young
mind to alternative, literary, and less
literal, biblical interpretations and set
the stage for his introduction to
Existentialism by a ninth grade English
teacher. After mastering all of the great
existentialist philosophers, and their
Platonic and Aristotelean precursors,
Ken was initiated into Buddhism and
inducted into Hinduism and
Theosophy as a college freshman. Ken
began to see Yoga or esoteric unity as
the common denominator in world
religions. Although urged by Dalai
Lama to maintain the religion of your
upbringing, Ken has pursued Yoga as
a Meditation leader for more than 30
years in Orlando, Florida. Throughout
his adult life, Ken has attended both
Buddhist and Hindu temples, as well as
Church of Religious Science services.
For seven years, Ken was the resident
Buddhist at Shanti Mandir in Orlando
where he was designated as a “sage” or
wise man. Ken also served as an
associate pastor and pastoral counselor
at a Unity Church. He is a member of
International Association of Buddhist
Universities (IABU).
Ken originally founded Amity College,
with state authorization in Florida in
2009, but held off on developing the
college until he became acquainted with
his collaborator Deepak Jain and formed
a spiritual and intellectual alliance, and
friendship, strong enough to support this
formidable project.
Ken proposes that the non-secular sector
will develop into a domain as pervasive
as the non-profit sector has become. He
envisions Amity College as an institution
that will demonstrate the power of
spirituality, religion, collaboration, and
friendship, contribute to international
interfaith peace and understanding, and
symbolize his own devotion to Amita (or
Amitabha) Buddha, the celestial
boddhisatva symbolizing deep
awareness, ultimate friendship and
immeasurable light and infinite life.
Amity is the quality associated with this
Buddha and especially emphasized in the
method of Pure Land Buddhism
embraced at the Buddhist Cultural
Center (Phap Vu Temple) in Orlando
where Ken conducts English services
and Mindfulness Meditations weekly.
Ken envisions Amity College as an institution that will
demonstrate the power of spirituality, and religion,
contribute to international interfaith peace and symbolize
his own devotion to Amita Buddha, the celestial boddhisatva
symbolizing deep awareness and infinite life.
