A Good Investmentt

The man wlio advertises wisely invests hismoney so that it will produce good dividends.

An advertisement in the Telephone Directory is an investment that gives you the widestpublicity you can obtain, at a minimum of cost.It familiarizes the ptiblic with your name and theservice or commodity in which 5'ou specialize, toan extent that no other advertising medium canequal.

Effective advertising is economical advertising. Directory advertising is both! Every timethe telephone is used the advertisements in theDirectory become active salesmen!

Keep your name constantly before the buying public by advertising in the Telephone Directory, and the persistent reiteration of your salesmessage will prove to be a sound investment thatwill earn increased dividends for you.

For the Quick Service—that brings repeat orders

" T ET me get him on Long Distance, and I'll soon put this right"— saysthe shrewd business man, as an emergency arises.

His personality, with the persuasive tones that helped him build up his business in the old days, is still the greatest forc'e at his command, and it rarelyfails to bring the needed results.Long Distance permits him to retain that personal contact and influence withmen in distant places on which his success was built. "If one of our travellersfails to secure an important order, he gets me on Long Distance before theinterview is over, and I neaidy alwa3's land it."The power of Long Distance as a business-getter is only beginning to beappreciated. Use your "Silent Partner," and see how economically it produces results. Many of your Long Distance calls can take advantage of theStation-to-Station rate.^ Ask our Local Manager to explain how. —.
