There is a new General Supporting Files narrative record to allow the entry of

G/L Dispute Reason Codes - General Supporting FilesThis is a new option:

This new master file allows you to create General Ledger Dispute Reason Codes which are used on journal detail lines, where the line of a journal is in dispute.



Once the master file has been set up, Then into the following options

Journal Entry

Journal Authorisation (if G/L Journal Authorisation is switched on)

Transaction Enquiry/Full Account Enquiry

Transaction Archiving

Note: In order to realise the full functionality of both the G/L Journal Extensions project and the G/L Journal Authorisation project, both projects should be switched on together.

Journal Entry and Journal Authorisation have been amended to include the

functionality of this project



Journal Entry



Journal Entry - General LedgerThis option has been amended:

After confirming the journal header details, five lines of free text is available to enter any relevant narrative text

Enter the relevant text in exactly the same way as for the journal header. If any text was entered on the journal header, it will be displayed and can be amended/overtyped as required.

Journal Authorisation - General LedgerIf G/L Journal Authorisation is used with G/L Journal Extensions, this option has been amended:

Journals with disputed lines can be selected for authorisation

Tick the Lines in Dispute check box to include journals with disputed lines

Journal Authorisation - General Ledger

Journals with disputed lines are displayed accordingly

The Dispute column in the browse screen indicates that this journal has disputed lines

If the individual journal lines are selected, then accepted by clicking on CR, the following window is displayed

At this point, the journal may be authorised (see G/L Journal Authorisation for more details), depending on the setting of the system key NLDISPACT.

If the system key is set to PREVENT, journal with disputed lines cannot be authorised

If the system key is set to WARN, a warning message is displayed, but you can ignore the message and authorise the journal.

If the system key is set to IGNORE, the journal can be authorised regardless of any disputes.




Enquiries

Both the Full Account and Transaction Enquiry have

been amended to include the functionality for this project

This screen allows you to view the dispute and text details of the highlighted transaction
