BYLAW NO. 980

A bylaw to amend the boundaries of a Street Lighting Local Service Area.

WHEREAS the :Regional Board of the Regional District of Central Okanagan established by Bylaw No.657, 1996, cited as the Regional District of Central Okanagan Scotty Heights Street Lighting LocalService Area, a lIJcal service for the provision of the operation and maintenance of street lighting within aportion of Electoral Area "1";

AND WHEREA:) the Regional Board deems it necessary to amend the said local service area to includeLot 1, Plan KAP'~4599, Sec. 7, Tp 24, ODYD

AND WHEREA,S in accordance with Section 797.4 of the Local Government Act, the Regional Boardhas received a valid petition for the service;

AND WHEREAS the Director of Electoral Area "J" has consented in writing to the adoption of this

Bylaw:

NOW THEREFORE THE REGIONAL BOARD OF THE REGIONAL DISTRICT OF CENTRALOKANAGAN in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows:

1 The boUlldaries of the Street Lighting Local Service Area created under Bylaw No. 657, 1996,cited as 1:he Regional District of Central Okanagan Scotty Heights Street Lighting Local ServiceArea, are: hereby extended to include Lot 1, Plan KAP44599, Sec. 7, Tp 24, ODYD, shown as theshaded area on Schedule "A" attached hereto and forming part of the Bylaw.

2. The participants in the service are a portion of Electoral Area "1".

3. This Bylaw may be cited as the "Regional District of Central Okanagan Scotty Heights StreetLighting Local Service Area Amending Bylaw No. 980, 2002.

1. Off site Sanitary Sewer2. Water Distribution System3. Off site Overhead I Ornamental Street Lights

We agree to pay the capital costs to install thc said works. We also agree that the cost tooperate and maintain the sanitary sewer and the water system will be collected through utilitybills, and that the cost to operate and maintain the street lights will be recovered throughtaxation by joining the Scotty Creek Street Lighting Service Area. The current cost tooperate and maintain the Scotty Creek Street Lights is $0.15 per $1,000.00 of assessment.The maximum allowable requisition amount to operate and maint.ain the Scotty Creek Street!:ig!}!~ i~ ~Q:~Q }?~! ~! :999:99 of assessment.
