The Approach..4

Since 1994 and more so, since founding Sampriti have worked on

using a mix of Fundamental, Technical and Sentiment Indicators to

time the market and identify investment oppurtunities.

The approach is largely macro and fundamental, in terms of first

forming a likely market scenario and then identify sectors and stock

that would perform in that environment.

In large caps the approach has been largely contrarian to buy on

weakness or bad news and in midcaps to identify multi baggers.

Since September 2008 when restarted appearing in the media( for which there is documented video footage), perhaps nobody else has identified most of the market turning points ..Unprecedented..

Identified almost all the turning points in the market since he started re-appearing in the media including

the September 2008 high which happened post his reappearance on the electronic media,

the October, November and even the December 2008 Low, the December 08 rally, the February 09 top, March 09 bottom and the big rally pre Elections ! The July 09 bottom , November 09 bottom, The January 10 correction, April 10 top and subsequent sell off, May 10 bottom.

Forecast that Auto stocks would lead the new Bull Market way back in March 09 !

Bullish on commodity stocks and various stocks/sectors way before the rest of the market turned bullish on them in March 09.Bearish on telecom stocks even in Nov 08.

Bearish on commodity stocks in April 10 which declined twice as much as the market in May 10.

In mid-May  advocated focussing on mid-caps, in the last 9 months though the market is up 15%, select midcaps are up 100-400%.

Gave a bullish call on Dollar Index in October at 74 levels touched 88 levels.

Focus on absolute returns. Identifying  opportunities for the portfolio where the underlying value is significantly

different than the market price…could be long or short opportunities. Buy/Sell ideas are held with short, medium or long-term perspective depending on the

opportunity and market movements. Market opportunities tend to vary sometimes the opportunity is shorter term and

sometimes it’s a bigger opportunity but more often than not markets tend to correct significantly in most 12 months time frames so the Portfolio will strive to make the most of these opportunities to sell High and Buy low.

Investment will be largely spread over large and mid cap stocks where the underlying value is significantly different than the market price.

Hedging portfolio  with derivative instruments to ensure portfolio is protected in case of market corrections.. to minimize downside and taking aggressive cash calls including up to 100% of the portfolio.
