Rosemont Staff Feedback
Joy, 3rd Grade Teacher:
Uniform procedures and consistency with the general behavior expectations of students (and all staff)
Establish general but encompassing rules, and procedures for classroom management.
![Page 26: 1 A Proactive and Positive Approach to Classroom Management Randy Sprick, Ph.D. Mickey Garrison, Ph.D. Lisa m. Howard, M.S.](https://reader035.fdocuments.us/reader035/viewer/2022062720/56649ef45503460f94c06f79/html5/thumbnails/26.jpg)

Feedback (cont.)Lynda, 3rd Grade Teacher:Realize that kids need to know EXACTLY what teachers expect every moment of the day. And a lot of the times teachers don’t even really know what they expect of their students or how they are conveying their expectations. It was eye opening to go through planning CHAMPs expectations for all time slots of my day and think through what I expect of my children. When sometimes I had to stop and think about if kids were allowed to talk, how loud, etc. I realized that if I had to think about it, kids really had no way of knowing my expectations. After fixing some of these issues I had more consistency in my class and less chaos.

Feedback (cont.)
Wendy, 1st Grade Teacher:
A way to structure classrooms that enables new teachers to feel more secure in what they need to do. CHAMPs training made me feel good about what I am already doing well and helped me to identify areas to work on.

31
Feedback (cont.)
Deborah, 1st Grade Teacher:
A uniform message for classroom management and dealing with behavior and class disruption. “WE ARE ONE VOICE AT ROSEMONT” and the children who begin here and remain here know that and understand that even though the face is different each year the CHAMPs message is the same.
Opportunities to share my views on classroom management and to also learn from others. CHAMPs training provides an outlet to hear what others are doing and to find the things that WORK for your classroom and teaching style.

Consistency. Students are now aware of CHAMPs as they are promoted from year to year.
Remember to explain my expectations to my students before each activity.
