FM-200: FM200 is the most commonly used, “people safe” fire extinguishing agent in the world today. The Fike FM-200 system has a unique flow characteristic giving it the best discharge performance of all equivalent systems, now with solenoid activation.

IG-55: The Fike ProInert system utilises a patented delivery system that regulates the discharge pressure to a constant 42 Bar resulting in superior performance and design capabilities over other inert gas extinguishing systems. The Fike ProInert system is suitable for occupied areas and reduces installation costs due to reductions in pipe sizes and manifold requirements.

Novec 1230: A new generation fire extinguishing agent, Novec 1230 fluid from 3M is suitable for occupied areas and is unique in the fact that it can be transported as a liquid. It can be used safely in a broad range of temperatures. These properties makes it ideal for recharging at remote locations.

From the most sensitive data processing facilities and priceless works of art, to oil refineries and other critical processes, fires are catastrophic to business and business continuity. Fire Protection Technologies provide environmentally responsible, people safe fire protection solutions for all your special hazard requirements. Gaseous Fire Suppression or Clean Agent Fire Suppression are terms to describe the use of gases used to suppress fires. Typically there are 2 types of clean agent fire suppression systems and both extinguish fires by different means. The first are chemical agents which react physically and chemically with the fire absorbing heat from the flame as well as reacting chemically with the combustion chain reaction. The second are inert gaseous agents which work by lowering the oxygen level of the enclosure to a level where combustion cannot be maintained.

GASEOUS SUPPRESSION SYSTEMS

Carbon Dioxide: Still the most versatile fire extinguishant available, Carbon Dioxide can be used for total flooding, local application and hand hose line systems.

In many applications traditional point type detection is not used in the way and for the purpose they were designed, inadequate detection performance is the result. New products are continually being developed to deal with the ever increasing needs for these special applications. Our range of detection products fill the gap providing system performance to protect your critical assets.

MicroMist® : MicroMist® is a self contained, single fluid, pre engineered water mist fire suppression system, used for total compartment protection of machinery spaces, diesel generator sets and compartmentalized gas turbine generators (great for applications with or without an available water source). The MicroMist® fire suppression system produces a fine mist to extinguish fires quickly, with very little residual water. In fact, the MicroMist® system releases 100 times less water than traditional sprinkler systems, yet effectively extinguishes the fire!.

Traditional sprinkler systems are designed to control the fire by controlling the heat release rate, preventing building structural collapse and pre-wetting the surrounding combustibles to contain the fire spread. Water Suppression or Water Mist Systems are designed to not only control a fire, their primary aim is to suppress the fire. Water is an outstanding fire suppression agent due to its high heat capacity and latent heat of vaporisation. System nozzles use a plate to slice the small jets of water that flow through the nozzle orifice. The resulting water mist contains a variety of droplet sizes. The larger droplets produced by the nozzle provide the necessary energy and momentum to carry the smaller droplets to the base of the fire where the mist vaporises and extinguishes the fire.

WATER SUPPRESSION SYSTEMS

FOAM SYSTEM PRODUCTS Foam System Products include fire fighting foam concentrates, foam storage containers, tanks, foam monitors, foam system distribution and proportioning hardware. Fire fighting foam or Foam Concentrate is used for fire suppression. Its role is to cool the fire and to coat the fuel, preventing its contact with oxygen, resulting in suppression of the combustion. For a typical industrial foam system the storage vessels (e.g. Bladder Tank, Atmospheric Tank) contain the foam concentrate and are connected into the distribution system ready for immediate use in the event of a fire. Associated distribution hardware and proportioning equipment are also connected into the distribution system, controlling the amount of foam and how it is distributed to the hazard on fire. As the world develops and technology changes we constantly find ourselves looking at new applications and hazards. Foam products are also constantly evolving to meet these challenges and there a number of solutions for any particular application. Talking to our fire engineers specialising in Foam Products should be your first stop in achieving the best result for your application.

FireDos® Proportioning System : FireDos is the revolutionary proportioning system that operates without any external power supply. Drive for the unit is provided solely by the water supply being used to fight the fire. The rotation speed of the drive motor is proportional to the volumetric flow rate, thereby enabling the FireDos unit to accurately proportion product concentrations from as low as 0.1% up to 6%. It is capable of handling practically any fluid and is not affected by fluctuations in flow or pressure. FireDos is cost effective and will also eliminate the need for installation of expensive foam bladder tanks.

DETECTION SYSTEM PRODUCTS

Digital Liner Heat Detection : Digital Cable has become a preferred alternative for many of these applications, an economic easy to install alternative with approvals to -40 ̊ C. Digital Cable can be connected directly to any Fire Alarm Panel in limited lengths or via our zone module in lengths up to 1500 meters. Our point locator meter can tell how far along the cable the alarm has been generated.

Intelligent Linear Heat Detection : Intelligent heat detection systems not only provide reliable fire detection it also provides flexible installation options, the ability to program zones along the cable length, set alarm thresholds, trigger deluge zones, provide real time data and provide hazard environment monitoring. This information can be used to prevent fires as well as detecting them. With installation lengths measured in kilometers, these versatile systems provide state of the art protection of your facility.

Video Flame & Smoke Detection : Video Flame & Smoke Detection has finally come of age, no longer the expensive cumbersome system with limited flexibility and the ability to only detect smoke. SigniFire’s video detection system will detect flame and smoke. Operating autonomously, detection events are instantly reported over standard IP network connections or communicating to the fire panel through configurable dry contact relays. Now that the cost barrier is no longer a limiting factor, the opportunities for this new technology are staggering, and when configured with existing fire systems will become a powerful ally for protecting your assets.
