    2. DESCRIPTION

    This instrument is designed to measure the material resistivity for the electrostatic coating application.

    The resistance of the material is displayed by a series of LEDs.

    3. CHARACTERISTICS

    4. OPERATIONConnect the probe to the resistance gauge.

    Check if the resistance gauge is operating properly :

    The probe pointed upward, press the button the upper yellow LED should be illuminated.

    Hold the probe tight between the fingers the red LED should be illuminated.

    Dip the probe end into the paint.

    Press the button and observe the LEDs being illuminated :

    The illuminated green LEDs denote that the material resistivity enables the maximum gun performance.

    The illuminated yellow LEDs denote that the material resistivity reaches values limiting the gunperformance.

    The illuminated red LED denotes that the material resistivity reaches a low value (conductive paint)which dramatically reduces gun performance. In this case, an electrostatic installation designed forconductive material is necessary.

    Thoroughly clean the probe after each measure.
