Recommended Procedure for Dissolving Mackol CAS-100N

    Low amounts [< 5%] ofMackol CAS-100N

o Can easily be dissolved at ambient (25C) temperature withmoderate stirring.

    For larger amounts [> 5%] ofMackol CAS-100N,

o A slightly higher temperature will be more efficient:

Preheat the Water phase to 35 40C (no higher) and turnheat off.

Slowly add Mackol CAS-100N while moderately stirring;material should dissolve in a fairly short time (15 30minutes).

After Mackol CAS-100N has totally dissolved, continuewith the manufacturing procedure.

NOTE: The dissolving ofMackol CAS-100N is an endothermic process; thebatch temperature may drop 5 10C, depending on the amount of materialto be dissolved. Also, if heat is not turned off after preheating, the materialwill turn into a hard, sticky gel and adhere to hot surfaces, like heating coils.Dissolution will then be very slow and time consuming.
