struction during the 1st week of Sep-
tember, 2013. This beautiful 12,000
sq. ft. facility will be the perfect com-
plement to the list of amenities that
Avimor already offers. Featuring var-
ious meeting rooms and a catering
kitchen, the Community Center will
provide an excellent venue for im-
promptu community gatherings, as
well as more formal events. In keeping

the Community Center will also serve

Time to hit the trail…again!
Come one, come all! On Saturday,
September 7, from 9am - 4pm, the
trails of Avimor will be ringing to the
sounds of professional mountain-bike
racers and amateur enthusiasts alike.
The Knobby Tire Bike Race kicks off
at 9am, with professional athletes
coming from far and wide to com-
pete. Over the years, Avimor has
become very highly regarded in the
professional mountain biking circuit
as one of the best racing venues in
the northwest, and we are proud to
continue host this important race.
At the same time, the Avimor Bike
Demo Days event will be in full swing,
with local bike shops and bike distrib-
utors providing bikes for the public to
try out on the Avimor trails. This is a
free event to the public, so come on
up, see the newest mountain bike de-
signs, and take them for a test spin.
There are also guided rides and free
mountain bike clinics for bikers of all
skill levels. Food and drink will be
available from “Rolling Hawg Smok-
ers” and “The Beer Guys”, so bring
your wallet and your appetite and
make a day of it. Last year some-
where in the neighborhood of 250
people showed up, and this year
looks to be even bigger, so come
early and experience the amazing
trails of Avimor first-hand.
Community Spirit
While big events like the Knobby
tire races and Demo Days are wel-
come punctuation points, they are
just one of an on-going series of
community oriented activities that are
an integral part of the Avimor lifestyle.
Other events include the “Halloween
Hayride”, initiated by an Avimor res-
ident and a huge hit with the kids.
The “Avimor Night Out” is always fun,
where residents organize a get to-
gether at a local restaurant. Another
way for homeowners to make friends
and stay fit is to associate with the
“Avimor Recreation Group”, which
meets every Wednesday to ride, bike,
or walk at whatever activity level the
participants are comfortable with.
