Governing Council
The Governing Council held its AGM last night and it was pleasing to see some ‘new’ faces. There is a new
committee led by Wayne Hodge as Chairperson, Andrew Hetzel is deputy Chair, Lisa Kammermann is secretary,
Craig Wheare is treasurer and welcome to Vanessa Boehm, Nicole Persic, Melanie Cummins and Kerran and Mel
Glover. Continuing committee members Jacinta young and Tanya Habner.
A big thanks to Phil Proctor and his team for their work and support for the school over the past year.
Please remind your child/ren about sun policy and the use of mobile phones at school. CAPS are not a part of our
school uniform, all students must wear a broad brimmed hat when outdoors.
Have a great week

SWIMMING CARNIVAL
Last Friday, we held our annual swimming carnival with Elliston. On a lovely summer’s day, the
competition was fierce from the beginning, with the day being exceptionally close between the red and
blue teams all day. A massive thank you must go out to a variety of people that made the day a success
and ensured that students enjoyed the day. Thank you to the Swimming Pool Committee and Lads Group
for the lovely BBQ, the Parents and Friends Committee for the Fruit Salad & Ice-Cream and Gabby Zerk for
preparing students for the day through swimming lessons. The partnership and relationships that students
from both schools formed was a highlight of the day, with all races being swum with a positive and
respectful attitude. A big thank you must go out to Elliston and their school community for transporting
students to and from Lock, and the staff that assisted with jobs throughout the day. Finally, a massive
thank you to the Lock staff, parents and community members that attended, supported and fulfilled jobs
with distinction.
