6.4 Angels – Custom Framing

Custom framing, matting, and imaging are a very large part of our work here at Nelson Fine Art & Gifts. When necessary, we will begin a design campaign with the profes-sional photography that your church, organization or prod-uct needs. Vice President of Operations Kevin Jordan has been in the photography industry for 30 years, and brings a great deal of talent and wisdom to each unique project.

The digital photos are then processed by our innovative Graphics Department. This stage allows for minimal to extensive image adjustment, editing, cleaning, repairing, and reconstructing. We can make the old new again, or create a superb design from start to finish. Your image is then produced as a giclée canvas or pa-per print, or sent to the printing press for offset production.

Our state of the art computerized matte cutter is capable of cutting mattes up to 40 inches by 60 inches in any design or shape. Churches and stores have come to rely on this service to create anniversary art, celebratory gifts and more. Stores regularly send us Papal Bless-ings to be matted and framed for their cus-tomers.

Our framing saws and joiners are also fully computerized, and feature the ability to remember 500 moulding profiles for repeated precision cutting. We’re often called upon to pro-duce supersize church artwork, intricate shapes

and designs, and odd-angled frames. No matter what the level of detail in your project might be, we can make it happen for you in both a timely

and professional manner.

Vice President of Produc-tion Mike Nelson was a Top Finalist in the 2006 National Framing Competition with a motorized trophy display in the shape of a soccer ball.
