Sign-up sheets for next year’s facilitators and note takers was sent around as well. Speakers: Christi Romero-Roseth from Colorado Fund for People with Disabilities (CFPD): Though this organization is based out of Denver, CFPD serves all of Colorado. Christi discussed the various trust fund options as well as rights and opportunities. Gail Nehls from Amblicab discussed the need for alternative funding sources for transportation. Though Amblicab has recently been approved as a PASA, they would lose money if they billed through the state. 1

Jessica Church from Cedar Springs discussed the various treatments, residential programs and psychiatric services. Cedar Springs recently started an outpatient child and adolescent hospitalization program.

Announcements:The Arc - Summer calendarACESO Foundation - Cindys upcoming classesHarmonized Brain Center - Shelly Shepard announced Dallass upcoming speaking engagements and collaboration with Special Olympics - starting a Tennis program.Cheyenne Village- announced various coalition committees to help early identification of autism and improved transportation.Resource Fair - discussed the outcome of our April fair: There were 69 vendors and 140 participants. There was poor weather all day which could have contributed to the low numbers. There were positive reports: everyone liked the smaller turnout because they had a chance to actually talk to the participants; it wasnt very crowded like previous years. JJ from CSDB recommended only one sign language interpreter be used at a time next year: one interpreter from 5-6:30 and another interpreter from 6:30-8. We also discussed the possibility of increasing the cost for vendors: between $35-$50. A group vote will be conducted at PPITTs August or September meeting.
