From Maintain Users: Initial Screen, you can display a list of all user authorization objects,authorizations, andprofiles available in your system. You can also display the profiles or authorizationsassigned to specificusers.

Displaying all Authorization ComponentsDisplaying all Authorization Components


The selected authorizations aredisplayed in alphabetical order byobject.

Items of importance on this screen:

Object: The name of the SAPauthorization object. Notice that oneobject can be assigned to manyprofiles.

Auth.: The name of the defined authorization.

Act.: An X in this column indicates that the authorization is an active version (not a maintenanceversion).

Display valuesbutton: Displays a lists of object field values as they are defined in the selectedauthorization.

Where-used list icon: Displays a list of profiles in which the selected object is used.

1. To display the User Profiles, follow

the path Information

Profiles.

As mentioned in the previoussection, there is no need to enter aname in the User field since it willnot affect the outcome of the list.

2. To search for a specific profile,enter a profile name or characterstring (for example, sap_allor f*)in the profile field. Leave this fieldblank to list all profiles.

3. You can also choose to list eitherActiveor Maintainedprofiles byselecting the appropriate Versioncheckbox. Again, leave both boxesun-selected to list all profiles.

4. Click the List icon to display theselected profiles.

The selected profiles are displayedin alphabetical order.


Profile: An alphabetical list of theselected profiles.

Act.: An X in this column indicatesthat the profile is an active version (nota maintenance version).

C.P.: An X in this column indicates that the profile is a Composite Profile (a profile made up of severaldifferent profiles).

Text: A brief description of the profile.Display valuesbutton: Displays a complete list of objects, authorizations, and field values for the selectedprofile.

Where-used list icon: Displays a list of users in which the selected profile is used.

1. To display a list of authorizationobjects, follow the path Information

OverviewObjects.

2. To display all objects, leave allfields blank and skip to step #6.Otherwise, follow steps 3 through5 to restrict the search.

3. To search for a specific object, enteran object name or character string(for example, k_sum_costor f*) inthe Auth. object field.

4. In the Text field you can specify a character string for which the system will search. Only objects whichhave the specified character string in their descriptions will be displayed.

5. Enter a field name or character string in the Field namefield to further restrict the search. Only objectswhich contain the field(s) are displayed in the list.

6. Click the Enter icon to list the selected profiles.


Object: A list of the selected objectssorted alphabetically according totheir object class, listed in the next

column. Okl.: The object class.

Text: A brief description of theobject.

Display fieldsbutton: Displays a listof fields for the selected object.

1. To display a list of allauthorizations and field values fora specific user, follow the menu

path Information OverviewUser values.

2. Enter the name of the user.
