1990: First Energy Saving Act

1992: The „Berlin Energy Agency“ was founded

1994: State Energy Programm (current version 2006 – 2011)

Berlin has a strong commitment to GHG-reduction

In 2008 Berlin has made the commitment of a more then 40% reduction compared to 1990

In 2009 it will publish a study on local energy demand as basis for its further energy strategy
