9) Correspondence: Chairman: The board would recognize the following correspondence:

• Committees have been active as we prepare for the May 17th opening. All committees met on March 22 to continue planning for opening weekend. Venders have been contacted and requests for volunteers have been made.

• Circuit rider application has been completed and sent to DCNR. They have been helping with the final job description for the Operations Director. We are now advertising the position.

• We have also advertised for the part time positions of Administrative Assistant and Maintenance Worker.

• We have been in contact with Christian-Baker Company a Commercial Insurance Company to update the quote for our liability and workers compensation insurance.

• We have been in contact with Verizon concerning phone service and DSL service to the Welcome Center.

• Letter from Best Law Offices, LLC related to a Dave Kaleta request referred to Solicitor • The Highway Occupancy Permit No. 03029281 was issued for our paved access road. We will

now begin the process of working with Coal Township Board of Commissioners to draft an Ordinance to transfer & dedicate this a Coal Township road.

• Permission from PPL Electric Utilities Corporation was received to place an obstruction within the PPL Right of Way behind Burnside.

10) Reports / Public Announcements:

• BAMR Update – Both projects moving along here and in Ferndale across from the Vo-tech school. (Barry can provide update)

• Trail head Update – Almost fully complete, will be scheduling the final walk-thru. Lighting and security system has been installed. Volunteers have finished the interior painting of the office and garage areas. Will be working on painting the doors and front porch.

• Volunteers have started installing gates and blocked off areas to limit unauthorized access to property. (Barry to provide update)

• All intersection signs have been installed on Eastern property. (Dave to provide update) • Verizon was on site 4/23 and 4/24. They installed the phone line to the Welcome Center. • Clean ups were done on 3/29 and 4/12. 3/29 we had 75 volunteers and 4/12 we had 125

volunteers. • On 4/23 we closed on a line of credit in the amount of $250,000 with M & T Bank. • On 4/23 the NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY Housing Authority used our conference room

for their monthly meeting to allow members to see our Welcome Center. • Representatives from WERock will be on site starting on 5/1 in preparation of the Saturday 5/3

event. The property will be closed to all other activity on 5/2 through 5/4. • Tracie Neumeister will be added to the AOAA Marketing Committee. • AOAA has donated several T-Shirts to JP from Military Jeepers for their wounded veterans trail

ride event, and to the Susquehanna River Valley Visitor’s Bureau for their backyard tourism week.

• This past Saturday 4/26 ATR conducted a benefit ride for the first responders in Coal & Zerbe Townships and the City of Shamokin. Over 175 people participated and members of ATR volunteered their time to make this a successful event.

11) Chairman: I would like to thank the following for the donations to the project: Big Boys Napa for additional donation of shelves for the garage area. Value $200 A First Aid kit was donated to us by Warren Remig FNB Bank for the donation of 2 file cabinets. Value $300 3 B Cleaning stripped and waxed the floors on 4/14 Two Clean ups ◦ One Smart Cookie donated lunch for 200 participants $1100 ◦ DMS dumpster first clean up $500 ◦ Dan Shingara dumpster first clean up $150 ◦ Maurers Ice Cream (Ken Bethge) tipping fee $150 ◦ Waste Management dumpster second clean up $550
