I was glad to know from our conversation that in future gifts of art objects, you plan to have a protective clause insofar as it is possible to do so to cover this point. After you have negotiated the sale of the picture in question, as I have pointed out, it will be necessary for you to have a formal authorization for sale from the Finance Committee of the Board of Regents but we can ask for this only when we know the terms of the sale.
