An amazing collection of Jeweled watches wrought in 18K solid gold will be brought to auction by Manor Auctions on February 19th at their auction gallery, located center court in Tallahassee Mall. The collection is provided by a lifelong collector who wishes the watches fi nd a new home with someone who appreciates them as much as he has over the last 25 years of watch collecting. Manor Staff members confi rmed that the collection is valued at more than $100,000 and will remain at their Bank Vault until auction week, when they will be placed on secure display. This collection will be rotated at both the Tallahassee and Thomasville Grace Estate locations, as well as Manor Auctions Gallery in Tallahassee Mall.

“Everyone is welcome to view them” said Frank Starnella, Director of Security for Manor Auctions. Brand name watches are abound in the Tallahassee market, however, Patek Philippe stands unrivaled as the fi nest watchmaker in the world. Their watches begin in the $5000 range and on occasion a minute repeater comes to market and fetches in the Millions. In 1851 Patek Philippe gained notoriety as the offi cial watchmaker for Queen Victoria. From that point forward, Patek Philippe continued producing fascinating complex timepieces, earning a place with many of the crowned heads of Europe. In 1989, to celebrate their 150th anniversary, Patek Philippe unveiled the “Gauge 89” at their Geneva Switzerland headquarters. To this day, the “Gauge 89” is considered the most complicated mechanical watch ever created and is a true testament to modern timepiece creativity.
