We evaluate you before we take up the assignment Before we take up any assignment, a team member would visit your R&D unit for due diligence of your R & D facilities. The purpose is to identify strategic area out of your manufacturing units which can be earmarked for “in-house Research and Development” providing you with maximum benefit and evaluate your eligibility for the DSIR scheme. We will provide this full day service on a complimentary basis and you have to only bear the cost of return air travel, hotel stay, local conveyance and food for one person for one day.

What all will we do for you?

Our services for R & D Project on turnkey basis are as follows: -

1. Briefing and preparation of your key team for DSIR recognition project 2. Selection of R&D projects for short term, medium term and long term (Past, present and future

projects) with the help of your R&D Head 3. Identifying specific area and R&D centre layout for getting maximum benefits 4. Filing of online application on DSIR site 5. Submission of soft copy online & hard copy in person to DSIR, New Delhi 6. Presentation to be made to DSIR 7. Professional video shoot (walk in video) of your R&D centre to be presented to DSIR

8. Preparation for meeting with DSIR either a day prior or on same day 9. Training your key team on responding to queries raised by DSIR pre or post recognition 10. Providing support to your Chartered Accountant post approval with regards to Income Tax

How much will it cost me?

Rs.12 lac + Service Tax (upto 10 employee in your R&D centre)

Rs.15 lac + Service Tax (upto 25 employee in your R&D centre)

Rs.18 lac + Service Tax (25+ employee in your R&D centre)

In case a company is not eligible or does not want approval for income tax benefits, then

an amount of Rs.2 lac + Service Tax will be deducted from applicable fees

Retainer is available on an optional basis at 20% of fees paid (during DSIR recognition & approval process) from 2nd Financial Year for ensuring maximum income tax benefits & annual submission of audited books of account for R&D operations

How much do I have to pay?

50% on confirmation & signing of assignment 25% on submission of soft and hard copy application to DSIR 25% on receipt of DSIR recognition

How much time will it take?

Submission of the application will be completed in 6-8 weeks from receipt of advance

Recognition as ‘In House R&D Centre’ will be granted in 3 to 5 months from date of submission of application depending on your availability for in person meeting with DSIR scientists in New Delhi and site visit to evaluate your R&D facility

What are the exclusions?

Cost incurred in making your R&D centre compliant with DSIR guidelines

More than 2 visits to your R&D centre during the engagement process Points to note

The recognition is normally provided for a period of 3 financial years at DSIR’s discretion

In the rare case of a rejection of application by DSIR; Scinnovation will work with your team for a fresh application at no additional charges including site visits as required
