OIANGUREN SECONDARY SCHOOL
Oianguren Secondary School was built in 1976, 36 years ago. Nowadays 536 students study in our school. There are 62 teachers and 36 classrooms.
In secondary education (12-16 year old students), there are 376 students. It is divided in four school years: DBH1, DBH2, DBH3 and DBH4. In DBH1 (12-13 year old teenagers), there are 107 students. In DBH2 (13-14 year old teenagers), there are 112 students. In DBH3 (14-15 year old teenagers), there are 89 students. And finally, in DBH4 (15-16 year old teenagers), there are 68 students. These four years are compulsory for everybody.
After finishing secondary education, students can go on with their studies for two years more in our school: DBHO 1 and DBHO 2. These two school years are not compulsory. There are 50 students in DBHO 1 (16-17 year old teenagers) and 60 students in DBHO 2 (17-18 year old teenagers). These two school years aim is to prepare the entry exam for University or for Vocational Training.
In our Secondary School, there is a Vocational Training course too, Nursery studies (kindergarten). When students finish DBHO can attend this Vocational Training in our school or can apply for another Vocational training in a different school or enter University after passing the University entrance exam. That is why people who are over 18 can attend this Nursery course in our school. To get the degree of Nursery studies, students have to do a two- year course and afterwards training in a specific school for kids like a kindergarten. There are two courses and 25 students in each course this year.
There’s not a gym in our Secondary School. That’s why we use the local sports facilities nearby.
