BASQUE COUNTRY

GIPUZKOA

We live in the north of Spain, exactly in the Spanish part of the Basque Country (the other part is located in the Southwest of France). So we are on both sides of the West Pyrenees. The Basque Country is formed by 7 provinces; 4 on the Spanish part (Araba, Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa and Nafarroa) and 3 on the French part (Lapurdi, Nafarroa Behera and Zuberoa).

Ordizia is in the province of Gipuzkoa.

In our Secondary School, there is a Vocational Training course too, Nursery studies (kindergarten). When students finish DBHO can attend this Vocational Training in our school or can apply for another Vocational training in a different school or enter University after passing the University entrance exam. That is why people who are over 18 can attend this Nursery course in our school. To get the degree of Nursery studies, students have to do a two- year course and afterwards training in a specific school for kids like a kindergarten. There are two courses and 25 students in each course this year.
