Why PNAC

Adequate and enduring technical competence of the relevant conformityassessment bodies in the exporting Member, so that confidence in thecontinued reliability of their conformity assessment results can exist; in thisregard, verified compliance, for instance through accreditation, with relevantguides or recommendations issued by international standardizing bodiesshall be taken into account as an indication of adequate technicalcompetence;

them to ensure that international and regional systems for conformityassessment in which relevant bodies within their territories are members orparticipants comply with the provisions of Articles 5 and 6.
