The STEM Chateaubriand Fellowship program targets outstanding Ph.D. students enrolled in an American university who wish to conduct part of their doctoral research in a French laboratory for a 4 to 9 month period. The Chateaubriand Fellowship allows American students to benefit from an experience in one of the best laboratories in France. The

research should be performed in a French university, engineering school, national laboratory or private enterprise. While knowledge of French is not mandatory, the host institution may require some level of communication. Chateaubriand recipients receive monthly allowances up to 1400 euros/month and travel and health insurance support. PDF’s Summer Fellowship Program is used to support students – from advanced undergraduates to medical students – in their pursuit of Parkinson's-related summer research projects. The goal of the Summer Fellowship is to cultivate an early interest in Fellows into the cause and possible treatments for Parkinson's disease. Fellows work under the close supervision of a sponsor who is an expert in the Parkinson's community and oversees the project.  Typically, summer fellowships are offered for 10 weeks of clinical or laboratory work with an award of $4,000. The award is to be used to support the student's summer research, for example, to defray tuition costs of research credits or to supplement living/housing costs.  This award may taxable; an IRS form 1099 will be sent to the recipient at the end of the calendar year.

Through its Minority Fellowship Program (MFP), the American Sociological Association (ASA) supports the development and training of sociologists of color in any sub-area or specialty in the discipline. In addition to providing financial support, MFP works with its Fellows and their faculty mentors to help prepare the Fellow for a research career. Also, MFP plans workshops and paper sessions at the ASA Annual Meeting, offers travel support to scientific conferences, and fosters the development of formal and informal networks for Fellows. Boston College’s African & African Diaspora Studies Program (AADS) announces its dissertation fellowship competition.  Scholars working in any discipline in the Social Sciences or Humanities, with projects focusing on any topic within African and/or African Diaspora Studies, are eligible to apply.  This 2015/2016 fellowship includes a $30,000 stipend; access to highly subsidized health insurance through Boston College; a $1,500 research budget; and a fully equipped, shared office. The fellow must remain in residence for the 9-month academic year, deliver one public lecture, and teach one seminar course. The successful applicant will have full access to BC’s seven libraries as well as several rare books and manuscript collections.  Of particular interest is the Nicholas M. This fellowship opportunity provides fellowships to graduate students pursuing doctoral degrees in nuclear, geochemical, and other disciplines directly relevant to nuclear forensics.  This program aims to develop the next generation of highly qualified scientists to meet U.S. Government’s needs for nuclear forensics expertise and to build a viable student career path in nuclear forensics. Students with undergraduate degrees in the physical sciences, the life sciences, or engineering are eligible to apply for the NFGFP. Graduate students in these technical disciplines who will have at least two full years of graduate work remaining at the beginning of September 2015 are also eligible. Applicants must be pursuing or planning to pursue doctoral study in specialties directly relevant to technical nuclear forensics. registered during the academic year at Berkeley or their home campus under the inter-campus exchange program. Process for the Social Security Administration’s (SSA’s) two disability programs – Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI). Applicants must be masters, doctoral, or post-doctoral-level graduate students pursuing studies in accredited programs at the time of the award with an academic emphasis in topics of interest to disability programs, including public health, social work, economics, occupational medicine, vocational and rehabilitation counseling, public policy and administration, sociology, psychology, education, medicine, and law. At the time of stipend award, selected graduate student researchers must be citizens or non-citizen nationals of the United States, or must have been lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence. Individuals on temporary or student visas are not eligible for stipend award.

During the Fellow’s first and second years of study at the U.S. University, VEF provides an annual grant of $27,000, paid directly to the University, to help support each VEF Fellow. After the initial two years, Fellows of the last two cohorts, 2015 and 2016, who continue in a Ph.D. program will need to transfer to the funding and immigration sponsorship of the U.S. University. VEF will provide each Fellow a total of $2,000 in Professional Development Grant funds during their entire program of study. VEF will provide a
