ZTE BSSB BTS Solutions

ZTE BTS consists of three subsystems− Baseband Digital Subsystem (BDS)− Radio Frequency Subsystem (RFS) − Power Subsystem (PWS)

Different types of BTSs are implemented by distinct BDS or RFS.

I1 BTS = all-IP BDS + all-IP RFSI2 BTS = all-IP BDS + local HIRS RFS/remote RFSAE BTS = (HIRS + all-IP) BDS + HIRS RFSCBTS = all-IP BDS + all-IP RFSMBTS(all-ip),MBTS(HIRS)

BTSB AE features

Composed of mixed HIRS+IP BDS and usually local HIRS RFS.

Supporting at most 12 carrier sectors with two racks.

Compatible with both ZXC10-BSCB (all-IP) and ZXC10-BSC (HIRS).

No GCM in the BDS so that Time Frequency Subsystem (TFS) is provided in RFS for system clock and frequency generation, whichincludes GPSTM, FDM and TCM.

SIM is required for transferring clock from HIRS part to IP part.

ZXC10-BTSB I1 Features

Designed based on IP platform. Two separate cabinets: BDS cabinet and RFS cabinet. Two types of RFSs: local RFS and remote RFS.

Providing a large system capacity. 1 BDS can support 1 local RFS and 6 remote RFSs, with up to total 24 carrier sectors

Supporting super BTS configuration: 1 master BDS+4 slave BDSs.

I1 Baseband Digital Subsystem (BDS)

Providing the interfaces with BSC and BTS

With the function of baseband signal processing, such as channel coding/decoding, baseband modulation/demodulation, and spreading/despreading.

Providing system clock and frequency for transceiver use.

Supporting 1 Master BDS and 4 Slave BDS for the super BTS configuration.

Including front boards: DSM, CCM, CHM, GCM, SNM, RIM, SAM; and rear boards BIM0~BIM6 and BIM10.

Radio Frequency Subsystem

Modulating baseband signals onto RF carriers

Providing linear amplifier for forward signals and low noise amplifier for reverse signals.

Supplying ports for antenna

Composed of 3 shelves: TRX shelf, LPA shelf and RFE shelf.

Consisting boards/modules: TRX, BTM, TSM, RSM, LPA, and RFE.

BTSB I2 features

BDS of I2 used almost the same boards as those used in I1 BDS, such as CCM, CHM, DSM, GCM, RIM.

Additional CDM (Clock Distribution Module) is used to further convert the GCM output 30MHz into two frequencies for TRX use: 12MHz for 800MHz and 850MHz frequency band; and 10MHz for 450MHz, 1.9GHz and 2.1GHz frequency band.

BIM9 board is plugged to connect the BDS - RFS and 1st rack with 2nd rack and BTS-BSC.

I2 BDS + local RFS + max. 6 remote RFS, so that 1 BDS supports 12 carrier sectors.

I2 BTS consists of at most 2 racks, i.e., 2 BDS, providing 24 carrier sectors capacity.

ZXC10 CBTS I1 features

CBTS I1 comprises two shelves; upper shelf contains 17 slots, having BDS and TRX boards. The lower shelf contains RFE, Linear Power Amplifier (LPA) and Power Amplifier Interface Module (PIM).

CBTS I1 is an economical BTS with basic functions. A single BS supports four carriers and three sectors at most, consuming 10 W/20 W power on average per carrier/sector. It is applicable to areas with heavy traffic and several carriers.

ZXC10 CBTS O1 features

CBTS O1 cabinet consists only one CBTS rack, and rack contains different boards. There are three shelves in CBTS O1; RFE/DPA shelf, FAN shelf, TRX/BDS shelf.

CBTS O1 is an outdoor BTS comprising single CBTS rack. A single BS supports 12 carrier-sectors for EV-DO application and 24 carrier-sectors for 1x application. It features wide coverage and applies to suburbs, plains, scenic spots, highways and railways.

ZXC10 Micro /Remote BTS Features

Advanced design: The system integrates advantages of the existing CDMA micro base transceiver station and RF remote station products of foreign countries.

Flexible configuration: ZXCBTS CDMA micro-BTS and remote stations can be combined to implement multiple configurations.

The micro-BTS could be configured with a built-in 155M SDH optical transmission subsystem to save users’ investment and improve the construction speed.
