AutoPLANT ® Plant Design Workgroup V8i (SELECTseries 2) - Modules The following section describes each of the modules delivered with the AutoPLANT Plant Design Workgroup V8i. Introduction AutoPLANT Piping AutoPLANT Equipment AutoPLANT Isometrics AutoPLANT Raceways Bentley Data Manager Bentley Vision Introduction The AutoPLANT Plant Design Workgroup V8i (SELECTseries 2) applications are AutoCAD-Based Spec-driven 3D design tools for piping, equipment, isometric, raceway and steelwork design. The applications included in this suite are used for designing, managing and operating industrial plant facilities of all sizes or complexities. These products integrate with Bentley ProjectWise and the Process and Instrumentation Workgroup applications to provide seamless integration between the engineering teams, document management and related business systems The AutoPLANT Plant Design Workgroup V8i (SELECTseries 2) installer also includes; Bentley Data Manager and Bentley Vision. The built-in Microsoft © Access reporting engine within Bentley Data Manager quickly generates; pipe lists, equipment lists, instrument, valve and motor lists plus other essential project specific reports. Bentley Vision provides seamless access to plant data and documentation through a single, easy-to-use interface. Vision's tag number- centric approach to data management puts the information you need at your fingertips. AutoPLANT Piping
Spec-driven 3D design of piping with advanced routing and editing features. Drawing production includes orthographics (plans, elevations and sections) using paperspace viewports and exporting 3D model data to produce finished isometric drawings. Automated Isometric Drawing, (ISOGEN) - Fully-featured automated isometric drawing production features are including in the Piping application. No additional licensing is required. In addition to an extensive catalog of piping components this application can also place 3D pipe supports, instruments, conduit, cable tray and HVAC components. Fast layout and design of intelligent equipment vessels and nozzles. Full pipe connectivity, extensive equipment library and easily designed custom assemblies

Object-based drawing tools used to create isometric drawings without a 3D model using the same piping specs as the full 3D piping application.

AutoPLANT Raceways
A Fully-featured spec driven 3D electrical conduit, cable tray & instrument layout design application.
AutoPLANT Raceways combines speed and power into an intuitive, graphical interface that makes the process of creating models easier than ever. Raceways has been designed to make your job easier by reducing drawing time and automating traditionally time-intensive tasks.
Note: This application is a subset of the component modules available to the Piping application.

Bentley Data ManagerBentley Data Manager is a powerful content management tool designed to automate the time-intensive tasks of managing plant data, creating reports and customizing project structures to meet the project requirements.
Data Manager ensures that data is shared between the project departments and disciplines ensuring consistency across different project groups.
The built-in Microsoft © Access based query and reporting engines allow users to create, edit and report on project tagged components irrespective of the underlying database type (SQL Server or ORACLE).
