Innovation management with aunified Stage-Gate® processThe new PVD Domino-System Con-cept—a modular PVD system—is thekey to several new PVD coatings withoutstanding properties, for example,nano-structured coatings. The new coat-ing series from Sulzer Metaplas M•A•C(micro-alloyed coatings) is a result of this development. Diamond-like-coat-ings are finding more and more interestin the market thanks to their properties:high hardness and low coefficient of friction. Such coatings are applied todayon many automotive parts and wind-turbine gears.
