Organization

The manual consists of 4 chapters which detail the traffic statistics system of BSC.

Chapter 1 is a brief introduction of the fundamental principle of the traffic statistic

system of BSC.

Chapter 2 introduces in detail the traffic statistic operations of BSC.

Chapter 3 introduces in detail each statistic item that Huawei BSC offers.

Chapter 4 introduces in detail the problems operator will encounter in traffic statistic

and the way to solve them.

I. General conventions

Convention Description

Arial Normal paragraphs are in Arial.

Arial Narrow Warnings, cautions, notes and tips are in Arial Narrow.

II. GUI conventions

Convention Description

/Multi-level menus are separated by forward slashes (/). Forexample, [File/Create/Folder].

III. Keyboard operation

Format Description

Press the key with key name expressed with a pointedbracket, e.g. , , , or.

Press the keys concurrently; e.g. means thethree keys should be pressed concurrently.

Press the keys in turn, e.g. means the two keysshould be pressed in turn.

[Menu Option]

The item with a square bracket indicates the menu option,e.g. [System] option on the main menu. The item with apointed bracket indicates the functional button option, e.g. button on some interface.

[Menu1/Menu2/Menu3]

Multi-level menu options, e.g. [System/Option/Color setup]on the main menu indicates [Color Setup] on the menuoption of [Option], which is on the menu option of [System].

IV. Mouse operation

Action Description

ClickPress the left button or right button quickly (left button bydefault).

Double Click Press the left button twice continuously and quickly.

Drag Press and hold the left button and drag it to a certain position.
