MEDIA DESIGN BA Detailed information (date and location) regarding the entrance exam will be sent via postal letter and e-mail. The practical exam round includes two turns which take place in two different occasions. EXAM TURN #1 - Handing in portfolio, CV, and cover letter 1. Portfolio The portfolio should contain a selection of your previous artwork. Apart from your work directly related to Media Design (digital image, sound, video computer animation, documentation of your installations, interactive objects, webdesign, compuer game design) we also accept items that demonstrate your skill in other areas of visual arts. We prefer to receive digital formats unless you find it necessary to present your artwork also in original (drawing, comic strip, painting, photograph, print etc). In the latter case please hand in your original artworks in a sealable folder. EXAM TURN #1 - Handing in portfolio, CV, and cover letter

1. PortfolioThe portfolio should contain a selection of your previous artwork. Apart from your work directly related to Media Design (digital image, sound, video computer animation, documentation of your installations, interactive objects, webdesign, compuer game design) we also accept items that demonstrate your skill in other areas of visual arts. We prefer to receive digital formats unless you find it necessary to present your artwork also in original (drawing, comic strip, painting, photograph, print etc). In the latter case please hand in your original artworks in a sealable folder.

- Avoid non-Latin (special) characters in any of the file names you use.- The extent of the portfolio is not limited, however, it should be clear and well

structured.

Technical requirements regarding your portfolio:Digital images: in widely used formats like JPG or TIF. The file size per item should not exceed 5 MbMovie files: in widely used formats like MOV, WMV, MP4, or MPEG

Interactive formats or games should be submitted along with their documentation (stills, videos) following the above instructions.We do not accept any project files of authoring softwares.

3. Proof of payment of the exam fee when you hand in your portfolio. A photocopy of

the bank transfer record is also accepted. Don’t forget to bring your ID, passport, or driver’s license.

The results of the first round of the entrance exam will be published on our website. The list of results will not include any names but personal codes of the

applicants. The date and location of the second round will also be posted here.

Keep in mind that the documents that you submit in the first exam round will be owned by

the university, and will not be returned.

EXAM TURN #2 - Interview

The personal interview will include discussion of your submitted portfolio as well as your experience, motivation and future goals in the field of visual arts. You may also present some artwork other than submitted in the portfolio. The schedule of the interviews may be subject to minor changes. Therefore please make sure you are prepared for possibly extended waiting times.
