Part 2: Secretions of the Digestive system

The secretions will be made in the following places:

1) Mouth (saliva and salivary amylase)2) Stomach (acids / pepsin)

3) Liver (bile)4) Pancreas (pancreatic juice which contains 3 principle enzymes trypsin, lipas,

and pancreatic amylase)5) The lining of the duodenum (all the rest of the enzymes eg. Nucleases)

Mark them on this digestive system diagram

Part 3: Annotated Diagram

Without looking at any resources, draw a diagram of the digestive system and annotate that diagram with all structures you find relevant.

Reflection: What structures did you leave out? What did you forget?

Part 4: Concept CardsCreate concept cards for the following terms: circular muscle, longitudinal muscle, small intestine, endopeptidase, amylase, lipase, villi, active transport, passive transport, liver, mouth, esophagus, gall bladder, stomach, duodenum, mucosa, and epithelium, pancreas, active transport, passive transport.

On your cards, include a labeled picture, definition, and example or importance. You can keep these as a study aid for quizzes and tests.
