A simple explanation of the practice shows the meaning of yoga to be a union of the Jivatma (human soul) with the Paramatma (the divine soul). The practice of yoga has been developed and changed techniques throughout time and spread throughout the world.
Some practice the importance of the true spiritual goal within yoga where other schools of thought focus more on the physical nature of yoga techniques using it for improved flexibility, balance and stress reduction
